Statement of Faith
We Believe
In the divine inspiration and final authority of the Bible
the written Word of God. The Scriptures are “breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
In one eternal God
the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who exists in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—coequal and coeternal, perfectly united in love and holiness (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). God is both beyond our full understanding and yet intimately present with His creation (Isaiah 55:8–9; Psalm 139:7–10).
That human beings are created in the image of God
as embodied souls with inherent dignity, worth, and purpose (Genesis 1:26–27). We were made to reflect God’s character—like mirrors turned toward the light of His glory. These image-bearing qualities remain, even though distorted by sin.
That through sin, humanity has fallen from its original design
and like mirrors turned away from their source of light, we now reflect the brokenness of a fallen world rather than the glory of our Creator (Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:2). This is not a surface-level flaw, but a deep spiritual separation that only God can restore.
In the common grace of God
by which He generously gives undeserved blessings to all people—such as beauty, knowledge, health, relationships, and the restraint of evil (Matthew 5:45; Acts 14:17; James 1:17). These gifts reflect His goodness, even in a world marred by sin.
In Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God
fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and now reigns in glory. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He offers salvation, reconciliation, and the restoration of our broken image—by grace through faith(John 1:14; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:8–9).
In the Holy Spirit, who indwells all believers
convicting of sin, guiding into truth, and transforming us into the likeness of Christ. By His power, we are being renewed day by day, as mirrors once again turned toward the light, (2 Corinthians 3:18; Galatians 5:22–23).
